MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security process that requires users to provide two or more different types of identification before gaining access to an account or system. These factors typically fall into three categories: something you know (like a password), something you have (like a smartphone or security token), and something you are (like a fingerprint or facial recognition). MFA significantly enhances security by making it more difficult for unauthorized individuals to access accounts, even if they have obtained one piece of information, because they still need the additional factors to verify their identity.
