Threshold perimetry

Threshold perimetry is a visual test used to measure a person's field of vision, which is the entire area you can see while looking straight ahead. During the test, light spots are flashed at different locations within your peripheral vision, and you indicate when you see them. The intensity of the lights changes to determine the smallest brightness level you can detect. This helps eye doctors identify vision loss caused by conditions like glaucoma or retinal diseases, providing essential information about your eye health and guiding further treatment, if necessary.
