Thirukkural, written by the ancient Tamil poet Thiruvalluvar, is a classic work of Tamil literature consisting of 1,330 couplets (two-line verses) that offer timeless wisdom on ethics, morality, and governance. Divided into three sections—Aram (virtue), Porul (wealth), and Inbam (love)—it addresses the fundamental aspects of life, guiding individuals on how to live ethically, pursue prosperity, and nurture relationships. Its universal principles have made it relevant across cultures and eras, promoting values such as honesty, compassion, and justice. Thirukkural is considered one of the greatest literary and philosophical contributions to human thought.
