The Water Cycle (theory)
The water cycle is the continuous movement of water on, above, and below the Earth's surface. It begins when the sun heats water in rivers, lakes, and oceans, causing evaporation into vapor. This vapor cools and condenses to form clouds. Eventually, the water falls back to the Earth as precipitation (rain, snow, etc.). Some of this water flows into rivers and lakes, while some seeps into the ground, replenishing groundwater. The cycle repeats, playing a crucial role in climate regulation, ecosystems, and providing fresh water for plants, animals, and humans.
