The Truth Wager (Pascal)

The Truth Wager, also known as Pascal's Wager, is a philosophical argument by Blaise Pascal that suggests it's more beneficial to believe in God than to disbelieve. Pascal reasoned that if God exists and you believe, you gain eternal happiness; if God doesn't exist, you lose little. Conversely, if you don't believe and God does exist, the loss is immense (eternal damnation). Essentially, he argues that belief is a safer bet given the potential stakes involved. It's a way of weighing the consequences of belief versus disbelief in the context of the existence of God.
