The Senedd

The Senedd, also known as the Welsh Parliament, is the main legislative body for Wales. Established in 1999, it operates in Cardiff and is responsible for making decisions on a range of areas including health, education, and the environment. Members of the Senedd, known as MSs, are elected by the public. The Senedd has the power to create laws, scrutinize the Welsh Government, and represent the interests of Welsh citizens. Its name, "Senedd," means "parliament" in Welsh, reflecting its role in Welsh democracy and governance.
