The Lewisian modal realism

Lewisian modal realism is a philosophical theory proposed by David Lewis, which posits that all possible worlds are as real as the actual world we live in. According to this view, whenever we consider alternatives to our reality (like different choices or situations), those scenarios exist in their own "worlds." Each possible world is a complete and separate reality, populated by different versions of events and beings. This perspective challenges traditional ideas about possibility, suggesting that understanding what could happen involves recognizing an infinite number of equally real worlds, not just hypothetical ideas.
