The Experiential Learning Theory

Experiential Learning Theory, developed by David Kolb, emphasizes learning through experience. It proposes that individuals gain knowledge by engaging in a cycle of concrete experiences, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation. In other words, we learn best when we actively participate, reflect on our actions, understand the concepts behind them, and then try out new ideas. This approach highlights the importance of hands-on experience and real-world application in deepening understanding, making it a valuable framework for both personal growth and professional development.
