The Confederacy of Independent Systems

The Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), also known as the Separatists, is a faction from the Star Wars universe. Formed before the Clone Wars, the CIS consisted of various planets and organizations that opposed the Galactic Republic. They sought independence from what they viewed as a corrupt government. The group was often represented by droid armies and led by notable figures like Count Dooku. The CIS played a crucial role in the conflict against the Republic and the Jedi, acting as the primary antagonist during the Clone Wars in the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars saga.
