The Baird Television System

The Baird Television System, developed by John Logie Baird in the 1920s, was one of the earliest television systems. It used mechanical components, including a spinning disk with holes, to scan and transmit images. The system captured light from a scene, converted it into electrical signals, and then reconstructed the image on a screen at the receiving end. Though rudimentary and limited in resolution compared to today's standards, Baird's innovations laid the groundwork for future television technologies, showcasing the potential for transmitting moving images over distances.
