Teacher Training Agency
The Teacher Training Agency (TTA) was a government body in the UK responsible for overseeing the training and recruitment of teachers. Established in the 1990s, its role was to ensure that teaching standards were high and that there were enough qualified teachers in schools. The TTA provided funding, resources, and support for teacher training programs and worked to improve the overall quality of education. Although the agency was disbanded in 2005, its functions were absorbed by other organizations, influencing how teachers are trained and supported in the UK educational system today.
