National College for Teaching and Leadership

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) was an organization in England focused on improving the quality of teaching and school leadership. It provided training, support, and resources for teachers and school leaders to enhance their skills and effectiveness. NCTL also played a role in the recruitment of new teachers and the professional development of existing staff. In 2018, its functions were taken over by the Department for Education, which continues the mission to ensure high standards in education through effective teaching and leadership.
