Tactical EMS

Tactical EMS (TEMS) refers to emergency medical services that are integrated with law enforcement and military operations, particularly in high-risk situations like active shooter events or natural disasters. TEMS teams consist of specially trained paramedics and EMTs who can provide immediate medical care in hazardous environments where traditional EMS may not be able to operate safely. Their role includes quickly assessing and treating injuries, ensuring patient safety, and sometimes supporting law enforcement efforts to stabilize situations before further assistance can be brought in. This approach enhances overall emergency response and helps save lives.
