Suezmax

Suezmax refers to a classification of oil tankers that are designed to be the largest vessels able to transit the Suez Canal when it is fully loaded. These tankers typically have a deadweight tonnage of about 120,000 to 200,000 tons. Their size allows them to efficiently transport crude oil over long distances while avoiding the larger vessels that cannot pass through the canal's restrictions. Suezmax tankers play a critical role in global oil transportation, providing a balance between capacity and navigability.
