States' Court of Appeals
State Courts of Appeals are intermediate appellate courts that review decisions made by lower trial courts within a state. They examine the facts and legal principles involved in cases where one party believes a mistake was made during the trial, such as incorrect application of the law or procedural errors. These courts do not conduct new trials or hear new evidence; instead, they focus on the existing records and may uphold, reverse, or modify the original ruling. Their decisions can be appealed to the state's highest court in some circumstances.
