SPF

SPF, or Sender Policy Framework, is an email security feature that helps prevent spam and forged messages. It works by allowing domain owners to specify which mail servers are authorized to send emails on their behalf. When an email is received, the receiving server checks the SPF record in the sender's domain DNS to verify if the sending server is approved. If it isn’t, the email may be marked as suspicious or rejected. This process helps ensure that emails claiming to come from a particular domain are legitimate, reducing the chance of fraud and phishing.
