Spermatogenesis

Spermatogenesis is the process by which sperm cells are produced in the testes. It involves several stages where master cells divide and transform into mature sperm capable of fertilizing an egg. Starting with a type of stem cell called a spermatogonium, these cells divide through a controlled process called meiosis, reducing their genetic material by half. This results in small, streamlined sperm with a head (containing genetic material) and a tail for movement. Spermatogenesis ensures a continuous supply of sperm throughout a man's reproductive life, playing a crucial role in human fertility.
