Spasmodic Torticollis

Spasmodic torticollis, also known as cervical dystonia, is a neurological condition that causes involuntary muscle contractions in the neck. This leads to abnormal head positions, forcing the head to twist or turn uncontrollably. Symptoms can cause discomfort, pain, and difficulty in movements. The exact cause is not always clear, but it may be linked to genetics or environmental factors. Treatment options include medications, physical therapy, and sometimes botulinum toxin injections to help relax the muscles. While there’s no cure, many people manage symptoms effectively with the right care.
