Sonar Array

A sonar array is a group of underwater microphones (called hydrophones) used to detect and locate objects, such as submarines or shipwrecks, using sound waves. When sound is emitted, it travels through the water, hits an object, and bounces back. The array listens for these echoes, allowing operators to determine the direction, distance, and shape of the objects based on the time it takes for the sound to return.
