Soft tissue injuries
Soft tissue injuries involve damage to muscles, tendons, or ligaments—structures that support and connect your body’s tissues. Common types include sprains (ligament injuries), strains (muscle or tendon injuries), and bruises. These injuries often result from sudden impacts, overstretching, or repetitive stress, causing pain, swelling, and limited movement. Treatment typically involves rest, ice, compression, elevation (RICE), and sometimes physical therapy. Most soft tissue injuries heal with proper care, but severe cases may require medical intervention. Recognizing the signs early and managing them appropriately can help ensure proper recovery.
