Smartphone sensors are tiny devices that help smartphones detect and respond to various physical changes in their environment. Common sensors include accelerometers, which track movement and orientation; gyroscopes, which measure rotation; proximity sensors, which detect nearby objects (like your face during a call); light sensors that adjust screen brightness; and GPS, which determines location.
