Slave revolt
A slave revolt is a coordinated uprising by enslaved people against their oppressors, often aiming to gain freedom and challenge their subjugation. Throughout history, such revolts have occurred when enslaved individuals organized to resist their conditions, sometimes leading to significant social or political changes. Examples include the Haitian Revolution (1791–1804), which resulted in Haiti becoming the first independent Black republic, and smaller uprisings in other regions. These revolts highlight the desire for autonomy and justice among enslaved populations, despite the brutal risks they faced.
