Shockwave Flash
Shockwave Flash, often simply called Flash, is a software platform used to create animations, interactive content, and multimedia applications on the web. Developed by Macromedia and later acquired by Adobe, Flash enabled rich visual experiences in web browsers. It was commonly used for games, videos, and interactive presentations. However, due to security vulnerabilities and the rise of more modern technologies like HTML5, Flash has been largely phased out; major web browsers stopped supporting it as of December 2020. Users now rely on other tools for similar multimedia experiences.
