Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI)
The Sexual Violence Research Initiative (SVRI) is an international organization focused on preventing sexual violence and promoting research to understand its causes and effects. Established in 2003, SVRI aims to support evidence-based programs and policies that address sexual violence, especially in low- and middle-income countries. It facilitates collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to generate knowledge, share strategies, and implement effective interventions. By advancing research and raising awareness, SVRI works to reduce the incidence of sexual violence and improve responses for survivors globally.
