SESAC

SESAC is a performance rights organization that helps songwriters, composers, and music publishers get paid when their music is played publicly, such as on radio, TV, live venues, or online. It monitors the use of these works, collects licensing fees from businesses that play music, and distributes royalties to the rights owners. Unlike some organizations, SESAC operates on a for-profit basis and often works with a smaller, more selective group of artists. Its goal is to ensure creators are fairly compensated for the public use of their music.
