
Servius Tullius
Servius Tullius was a significant figure in ancient Roman history, known as the sixth king of Rome, ruling from around 578 to 535 BC. He is credited with important reforms that laid the foundation for Roman society, including the establishment of a military and political organization based on social classes. He introduced the census, a system for counting and organizing citizens, which helped in taxation and military service. Servius also built the Servian Wall, fortifying Rome. His reign is often seen as a time of significant development, transitioning Rome toward a more structured republic.
