SEIR model

The SEIR model is a mathematical framework used to understand how infectious diseases spread. It divides the population into four categories: Susceptible (S), Exposed (E), Infected (I), and Recovered (R). People start as susceptible, then become exposed after contact with the virus but are not yet infectious. After a while, they become infected and can spread the disease. Finally, they recover, gaining immunity. This model helps researchers predict how diseases progress and evaluate strategies for controlling outbreaks, making it a valuable tool for public health planning.
