Science and Technology Studies (STS) is a field that looks at how science and technology shapes, and is shaped by, our society, culture and politics. It's about understanding their role beyond just theory and practical applications. STS explores questions like who is affected by scientific research, how is technology used or misused, and what ethical issues arise from them. In essence, it's about the interaction of science, technology, and society.
