Saxagliptin

Saxagliptin is a medication used to help manage type 2 diabetes by improving blood sugar control. It works by increasing levels of certain hormones that stimulate the release of insulin after meals and decrease the amount of sugar the liver produces. This helps keep blood sugar levels steady throughout the day. Saxagliptin is usually taken once daily and is often used alongside other diabetes medicines or lifestyle changes. It may cause some side effects like respiratory infections or headaches but is generally well tolerated under medical supervision.
