Saint Philip Benizi was an Italian priest and a member of the Servite Order, which he helped establish in the 13th century. He is renowned for his dedication to helping the poor and promoting peace during a time of social strife in Italy. Known for his deep spirituality and miraculous powers, Philip was also a skilled mediator who worked tirelessly to reconcile conflicts. He spent much of his life traveling to spread the message of faith and compassion. Canonized in 1671, he is celebrated for his humility, charity, and commitment to serving others. His feast day is August 23.
