Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City)

Saigon, officially known as Ho Chi Minh City, is the largest city in Vietnam, located in the southern part of the country. It is a bustling metropolis known for its vibrant culture, rich history, and economic significance. Originally the center of French colonial rule, Saigon features a mix of modern skyscrapers and historic buildings, such as the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica. The city is also famous for its street food, lively markets, and the Mekong River. Following the Vietnam War, it was renamed Ho Chi Minh City in honor of the revolutionary leader, but many locals still refer to it as Saigon.
