Sabre Fighting
Sabre fighting is a form of fencing that uses a curved, single-edged sword called a sabre. It incorporates both cutting and thrusting techniques and focuses on fast-paced, aggressive movements. In sabre competitions, points are scored by touching an opponent with the blade, typically above the waist, and includes rules to determine valid hits. Fighters wear protective gear, including masks and jackets, to ensure safety during bouts. Sabre is one of three Olympic fencing disciplines, alongside épée and foil, and is known for its dynamic style, emphasizing speed, reflexes, and strategy.
