Royal Ordnance Corps

The Royal Ordnance Corps (ROC) was a British Army unit responsible for managing munitions, explosives, and ordnance supplies. Formed in 1939, its primary duties included the storage, distribution, and maintenance of weapons and ammunition, ensuring that troops were equipped and ready for operations. The ROC played a vital role during World War II and beyond, supporting military efforts by handling essential materials safely and efficiently. In 1993, the corps was merged into the Royal Logistic Corps, which continues to oversee logistics and supply chain management for the British Army.
