Romanov Family

The Romanov family was the ruling dynasty of Russia from 1613 until the Russian Revolution in 1917. Led by Tsar Nicholas II, they were members of the Russian Orthodox monarchy, with a lineage that connected them to many European royal families. The Romanovs are known for their autocratic rule, but their reign ended amid political unrest, economic struggles, and rising revolutionary movements. In 1918, Nicholas II and his family were executed by Bolsheviks, ending over three centuries of Romanov rule. Their story remains significant in Russian history as a symbol of both monarchy and revolution.
