Republican Army

The Republican Army was the military force of the Irish Republican movement, primarily associated with the Irish Republican Army (IRA). It was formed to fight for Irish independence from British rule and seek a united Ireland. The organization employed guerrilla tactics during the Irish War of Independence (1919-1921) and later played roles in various conflicts and campaigns related to Irish nationalism.
