Reform Party of Canada
The Reform Party of Canada was a conservative political party founded in 1987, mainly representing Western Canadian interests. It focused on reducing government size, fiscal responsibility, and promoting traditional values. The party gained prominence by advocating for democratic reforms, such as more accountability and less regional disparity. In 2000, it transformed into the Canadian Alliance, which later merged with the Progressive Conservative Party in 2003 to form the modern Conservative Party of Canada. The Reform Party played a significant role in shifting Canadian politics toward more conservative policies during its existence.
