Reflecting surfaces
Reflecting surfaces are materials that bounce back light rays when they hit them. Common examples include mirrors, which reflect light clearly, and bodies of water, which can reflect images depending on their smoothness. The angle at which light strikes the surface determines the angle at which it reflects, a principle known as the law of reflection. This property allows us to see ourselves in a mirror or observe the beauty of the sky reflected on a calm lake. Reflecting surfaces are essential in various applications, including optics, architecture, and photography.
