Recompression Chambers

Recompression chambers, also known as hyperbaric chambers, are sealed environments where the pressure is increased significantly above normal atmospheric levels. They are primarily used to treat conditions like decompression sickness in divers, where rapid ascension can cause nitrogen bubbles to form in the body. By increasing pressure, these chambers help dissolve the bubbles back into the bloodstream and reduce symptoms. Additionally, they can enhance healing for certain injuries and infections by delivering higher concentrations of oxygen to tissues. This treatment is monitored and conducted by trained medical professionals.
