RCT (Randomized Controlled Trials)

Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) are a type of scientific study used to evaluate the effectiveness of a treatment or intervention. In an RCT, participants are randomly assigned to either a group receiving the treatment or a control group receiving a placebo or standard care. This random assignment helps ensure that the groups are comparable and that the results are not biased. By comparing outcomes between the two groups, researchers can determine the treatment’s impact more reliably. RCTs are considered the gold standard in research because they provide strong evidence about cause-and-effect relationships.
