
Rani Gaidinliu
Rani Gaidinliu (1915-1993) was a prominent Indian freedom fighter and a key figure in the Zeliangrong Naga movement. Born in Manipur, she became a leader at a young age, advocating for the rights of the Naga people against British colonial rule. Gaidinliu promoted spiritual and social upliftment within her community and was known for her role in the Heraka movement, which sought to revive Naga traditions and resist external oppression. She was imprisoned for her activism but later honored as a national heroine in India, symbolizing courage and resilience in the struggle for identity and independence.
