Raja Jai Singh II

Raja Jai Singh II (1688-1743) was a prominent Rajput ruler of the Amber kingdom, known for his exceptional military prowess and contributions to architecture and culture in North India. He played a significant role in the Mughal Empire as an ally and was recognized for his loyalty to Emperor Aurangzeb. Jai Singh founded several cities, including Jaipur, renowned for its planned layout and stunning architecture. He was also an accomplished astronomer, establishing the Jantar Mantar observatories for astronomical studies.
