Radcliffe College
Radcliffe College was an institution for women in higher education, founded in 1879 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It initially served as a women's counterpart to Harvard University, offering women access to education and academic resources. Over time, Radcliffe developed a strong academic reputation and became known for its programs in liberal arts and sciences. In 1999, it merged with Harvard, becoming the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, which focuses on interdisciplinary research and scholarship while promoting women's contributions in various fields. Today, it continues to support advanced study and creative work across disciplines.
