Proprioceptors
Proprioceptors are specialized sensory nerve endings located in muscles, tendons, joints, and the inner ear that sense the position, movement, and tension of body parts. They send information to the brain about where our limbs are and how they are moving, helping us maintain balance, coordinate movements, and perform daily tasks without constantly looking at our body. Essentially, proprioceptors act as the body's internal "awareness" system, providing continuous feedback that allows us to move smoothly and accurately.
