PRICE (Protection, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation)

PRICE is a treatment approach for managing minor injuries like sprains and strains. It stands for Protection, Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation. Protect the injured area to prevent further damage; rest to avoid worsening the injury; apply ice to reduce swelling and pain; use compression (like a bandage) to support the area and control swelling; and elevate the injured limb above heart level to decrease blood flow and swelling. Following these steps helps manage pain, reduce swelling, and promote healing in the initial stages after an injury.
