Pregnancy outcomes
Pregnancy outcomes refer to the results of a pregnancy, which can include live births, stillbirths, miscarriages, or ectopic pregnancies. A live birth means the baby is born alive, while a stillbirth is when the baby is born without signs of life after 20 weeks of gestation. Miscarriage, or spontaneous abortion, occurs before 20 weeks, when the pregnancy ends on its own. Ectopic pregnancies happen when a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, which can be dangerous. Overall, pregnancy outcomes are influenced by various factors, including maternal health, lifestyle, genetics, and medical care during pregnancy.
