precision vs. accuracy
Precision and accuracy are two important concepts often used in measurements and data. Accuracy refers to how close a measurement is to the true or actual value. For example, if you’re shooting at a target, being accurate means hitting the bullseye. Precision, on the other hand, relates to the consistency of repeated measurements; it’s about how closely multiple measurements align with each other. Using the target analogy, if you consistently hit the same spot (even if it's not the bullseye), you are precise. In summary, accuracy is about correctness, while precision is about consistency.
