Pick's disease
Pick's disease is a rare brain disorder that causes progressive changes in thinking, behavior, and personality. It is a type of frontotemporal dementia characterized by the buildup of abnormal proteins called Pick bodies in nerve cells, mainly affecting the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. These changes lead to symptoms such as drastic personality shifts, difficulty with language, and impaired judgment. Unlike Alzheimer's disease, memory loss is less prominent early on. The exact cause is unknown, and there is currently no cure. The disease typically worsens over time, impacting daily functioning and quality of life.
