Peace of Pressburg

The Peace of Pressburg, signed in December 1805, was a treaty that concluded hostilities between the French Empire and the Austrian Empire following the Battle of Austerlitz. It marked a significant shift in European power dynamics. As a result, Austria ceded territory to France and its allies, including parts of Italy and the region of Tyrol. In addition, the treaty reinforced the influence of Napoleon and his allies in Europe, diminishing Austrian power. This agreement contributed to the reshaping of national borders and set the stage for future conflicts in the Napoleonic Wars.
