Parsi Zoroastrianism

Parsi Zoroastrianism is a branch of Zoroastrianism practiced by the Parsi community in India and Pakistan. Originating from ancient Persia (modern-day Iran), Zoroastrianism is one of the world's oldest monotheistic religions, centered on the teachings of the prophet Zoroaster. Parsis, who migrated to the Indian subcontinent to escape religious persecution, have preserved Zoroastrian beliefs and rituals. Core tenets include the worship of Ahura Mazda (the supreme god), the importance of good thoughts, words, and deeds, and the concept of free will. Parsis celebrate unique festivals, uphold a strong sense of community, and focus on environmental stewardship.
