Parlementaire systemen
Parlementaire systemen, or parliamentary systems, are forms of government where the executive branch derives its legitimacy from the legislature (parliament) and is accountable to it. In this system, the head of government, usually called the prime minister, is typically a member of parliament and is elected by fellow lawmakers. Legislative and executive powers are linked, allowing for more coordinated governance. Elections for parliament are held regularly, and if the government loses the confidence of the parliament, it may be removed through a vote of no confidence, leading to a new election or government formation.
